River Trekking is the crossing of a river on foot (in water level conditions where this is possible) without vessels (rafting boat, canoe, kayak, etc.) as well as with or without the support of technical means (ropes, downhill zones, etc.). Most River Trekking throughout the course do not require the use of the descent zone, but in extremely difficult situations where it is impossible to cross the riverbed or even its banks, then the technical equipment is used, both on an individual and group level. In crossing rivers you will need: to walk on an outdoor path, to walk along the river bank, to walk in the river, to swim in the river, to cross wooden or stone bridges, etc. River Crossing is an activity that can be done from late April to early November (depending on the weather), and in some cases some rivers do not have as high a difficulty in winter as their level allows the activity all year round. A basic criterion for participating in the activity of Crossing Rivers is the knowledge of swimming, as well as physical condition such that allows the completion of an easy ten-kilometer hike. The activity is addressed to children but also to specific rivers. Our office offers the activity of Rivers Crossing with experienced guides, having all the necessary equipment on an individual and group level.
